Conversations in Mexico Hans Ulrich Obrist

I designed Conversations in Mexico while working with Alejandro Magallanes, in 2014.

The book consists of 14 interviews with Mexican culture related writers, artists, architects and creators of their own fields such as Alejandro Jodorowsky.

It was not supposed to have images initially and gathering most of them took us to the homes and workspaces of some of the interviewees such as Elena Poniatowska, Teodoro González de León and Pedro Friedeberg.

I asked the printers to recycle the proof sheets from all the inner pages to print the dust jacket on them, which resulted in 3500 different jackets, as some of them were proofed up to 3 times, overprinting texts and images.
